I am delighted to be back in Michigan after spending 38 years in the greater Chicagoland area, working in a variety of business settings before answering the call to ministry in 1997. Maybe you have just moved to the EUP or you’ve been away from church for a while. You will find a welcome at either of our congregations. Maybe you are looking for a church community for the first time in your life. Having personally grown up in the United Methodist Church and then taking an extended hiatus, I know how hard it can be to walk through those church doors for the first time. Please know you will find a welcome at either of our congregations!

Both worship services are on Sunday morning. The Algonquin worship service is intimate and laid back with a group of very caring people. Worship is at 9:00am. Central worships in a large ornate sanctuary, with a variety of talented musical offerings, and a welcoming atmosphere. Worship is at 10:30am June – August and 11:00am the other nine months. My preaching style is casual, passionate, and engaging.

Whatever your situation, I encourage you to come check us out. Take the time to attend for a couple weeks in a row to get a deeper sense of who we are and how following Jesus is lived out in our lives. After a few short weeks, you will know if we are the place for you. We believe it is important to find a community that will nurture your spiritual growth, connect you with a group of people who will walk through the challenges and joys of life, and provide opportunities to serve our neighbors, near and far. You will find that at Central or Algonquin United Methodist Churches.

If you wish to talk or are interested in getting involved in some other way, email me at Vickie.31.Hadaway@gmail.com. I will get back to you shortly. Thank you for checking out our website and for taking the time to read about us. Whether at one of our churches or out and about in the Soo area, I hope our paths cross in the near future.

Grace & peace,
Pastor Vickie
